Prolotherapy
Prolotherapy has been used and documented in respected peer-reviewed journals of the medical/dental profession since 1950. It’s use on the jaw joints has been particularly well documented fore the last decade. Essentially, injections of sugar and dental freezing are used to strengthen ligaments and tendons (ie: to correct sprains and strains). Several injections are needed over time and the “track record” of this technique is excellent especially in terms of pain relief. This technique requires special training and is used with frequency and much success in other areas of the body as well (eg: elbow, back, ankle). This technique is designed to work with nature/biology
and is essentially non-invasive and to delay or remove the need for more radical
surgery. This technique is carried out in a routine dental office visit with no need for special preparation or precautions either before or after the visit. Prolotherapy Consent Form (PDF formatt) Please feel free to contact our office if you would like more information regarding the above.
